Kent Wildlife Trust will liaise with Forestry Commission over Woodland Management Grant for the wood Kent Wildlife Trust has pursued the possibility of English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS) for Old Park Wood with Andrew Dall’oglio, the local woodland officer at the Forestry Commission. It has been determined that Old Park Wood could qualify for Woodland Management Grant (WMG) and also Woodland Improvement Grant (WIG) in some areas. However, the EWGS process requires each owner individually to register their land on the Rural Land Register – a process which takes some time. Each owner has had this process explained by officers at Kent Wildlife Trust, who are happy to assist owners with paperwork, and this action is being taken forward, with one owner having now completed registering their land. Time spent liaising with Forestry Commission and woodland owners: Kent Wildlife Trust 0.5 day = £175 |
